Greater Ogden

Northern Utah

An ever increasing number of visitors, residents and businesses are discovering the distinct advantages at the Top of Utah. Located north of Salt Lake City, the Greater Ogden communities provide superb access to the Salt Lake International Airport, Hill Air Force Base, Antelope Island, the Great Salt Lake and other cultural, retail, commercial, entertainment and recreational opportunities. The Ogden-Hinkley Airport is an increasingly important commercial transport center in northern Utah.

Population: 238,994
County seat: Farmington

Area: 603 sq. miles
Population: 7,129
County seat: Morgan

As you can see, Davis County has the highest population density. It is also the most commercially developed, and still growing.

The quality of life in Weber County is comfortable with a mixture of suburban, metropolitan and rural lifestyles largely free from congestion and industrial pollution. Outdoor recreation and a rich tradition in drama and the arts enliven Weber County life.

Morgan County is renown for its outdoor recreational opportunities.

A Note on Religion

If you are new to Utah, You will want to know about the local religions. No matter your faith, you will find a house of worship in Greater Ogden. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) is the predominant religion. They are great neighbors to their fellow Utahns regardless of denomination. There is also a growing Evangelical Christian community, and a wide variety of other religious groups. These include Jewish, Buddhist, Greek Orthodox, Catholic, Baptist, Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian, Jehovah’s Witness, Church of Christ, Church of God, Church of the Nazarene, Church of Religious Science, Christian Science, Seventh-Day Adventist, Christian Reformed, Apostolic, Congregational, Unitarian, and Four Square.
